Candidate Profile: |
Provide authoritative advice and assurance to the Group Executive and Asset General Managers on security matters Provide strategic security and crisis management planning for the Group and present such plans to senior management. Develop and implement global security policy, standards, guidelines and risk management processes. Ensure compliance throughout the Group of all regulatory requirements and mandatory policies. Provide professional security support and advice to asset management in risk assessment for new projects, the protection of staff, physical assets, information and crisis management. Provide leadership and direction in the Group management of Information Protection. Provide an effective Fraud Risk Management (FRM) capability within the Group, through a network of asset Fraud Officers. Act as mentor to the Group Security team and to all asset security managers within the Group. Establish an effective working relationships with other corporate departments, specifically Policy & Corporate Affairs, Legal, IM, HR, and Finance. Represent company interests on national and international forums, to both maintain the company’s security risk management profile and to influence the development of company beneficial national and international security standards. Maintain effective liaison with government agencies, NGOs, law enforcement, security service providers and industry bodies to acquire information and assessments of security threats that may impact on the business, ensuring best practice is being maintained in mitigating these risks. Maintain an appropriate relationship with selected international security and risk management consultancy companies to ensure the company receives efficient and effective support in a timely and cost-effective manner. |

They are looking to recruit a Regional Head of Investigations for the Asia Pacific region, based from Beijing. You will be an experienced manager, able to lead, motivate and develop your team. With extensive budgetary responsibility you will be responsible for communicating with senior management, including the Regional Head of Audit and the Group/Global Head of Special Investigations, ensuring they are up to date with the departmental activity. Your remit will be to manage and perform confidential investigations, on a global basis, of highly sensitive issues for the group in an efficient, effective and professional manner. Working under the general direction of the Global Head you will exercise reasonable latitude in determining investigative techniques in order to accomplish your objectives. You will plan, organise and conduct comprehensive investigations of suspected / alleged violations of company ethics, policies and other group compliance related standards. |

You will also ensure thoroughness in collecting all material, and relevant facts, presenting the same in an accurate and comprehensive manner, accounting all the allegations under special investigation. Present clear, concise and factual reports that enable senior management to make appropriate commercial and other internal administrative decisions. You will recommend corrective actions to be taken and present concise and objective special investigation briefings back to senior management. When directed by the head of group internal audit you will conduct standard preventative compliance audits to ensure compliance with group standards. You will be a Mandarin speaker, ideally in possession of a Bachelors Degree from a recognised institution of higher learning, preferably in criminal justice, or a law enforcement discipline. With a well documented past experience in a significant interpersonal interview environment you will have a proven high degree of analytical and interpersonal communications skills. With a willingness to travel extensively across a wide geographic area, you will also possess sound operational field judgement skills and the ability to work on one's own, with minimum supervision. You will also possess a high degree of computer literacy with the ability to personally generate special investigative reports/executive summaries for presentation to senior management. |
